Welcome to the Stewart Hall Cultural Centre

Stewart Hall

Take the path to cultural discovery!

The Stewart Hall Cultural Centre is renowned for its exceptional cultural programs and art exhibitions. The Centre’s main objective is to make art and culture accessible to as many people as possible. This is being accomplished through outstanding performing arts programs and art exhibitions, special events and the presence and involvement of different dynamic resident associations.

The Cultural Centre has enriched many lives and continues to do so. Micheline Bélanger, Planner of Arts, Culture and Libraries for the City of Pointe-Claire, firmly believes that culture contributes to personal development and well-being. She and her team work to enhance the cultural life of the community by providing programming for adults, teens and children; grand concerts, art workshops, flute, violin and ballet workshops, various exhibitions and much more.

Joyce Millar, Division Manager for the Art Gallery, passionately believes in the power of art to transform lives and nourish the soul. The Gallery presents eight art exhibitions a year and is open seven days a week (except Saturdays during summer) and provides free guided tours.

Stewart Hall

"The purpose of the Stewart Hall Cultural Centre is to offer events of

unparalleled quality while encouraging local initiative and

implicating all members of the community".

The Cultural Centre is a beautiful venue located on the shores of Lake Saint-Louis in the City of Pointe-Claire.   The architecture of the building along with the beautiful location lends itself to the artistic and cultural programs which are held within.   Weekly music concerts, featuring talented and emerging artists, are held at the Centre and are free of charge.

The Centre offers a wide range of activities, workshops and courses for both young and old. Whether you are interested in dance, art courses, learning a new language, conferences, workshops, special events or exhibitions, there is always something of interest at the Cultural Centre.  The Stewart Hall Cultural Centre also offers a bilingual cultural preschool program for 3-5 years olds where children are exposed to the arts, music, dance, drama and more as well as a cultural day camp in the summer.

The Centre, as part of its cultural mediation program, works closely with local schools and community groups.  It is worth noting that many resident groups, such as The Lakeshore Camera Club, The Claycrafters Pottery Studio, The Lakeshore Weavers' Guild and many others offer activities that will expose you to new ideas or help you improve upon already learned skills.
